This book introduces complete and systematic theories of infinite-dimensional dynamical systems and their applications in partial differential equations, especially in the models of fluid mechanics. It is based on the first author’s lecture “Infinite dimensional dynamical systems on nonlinear autonomous systems” given to graduate students in Donghua University since 2004. This book presents recent results that have been carried out by the authors on autonomous nonlinear evolutionar yequations arising from physics, fluid mechanics and material science such as the Navier–Stokes equations, Navier–Stokes–Voight systems, the nonlinear thermoviscoelastic system, etc.

In The Generalized Relative Gol'dberg Order and Type: Some Remarks on Functions of Complex Variables, the authors have discussed the generalized comparative growth analysis of entire functions of several complex variables at length. The discussion covers the important branch of complex analysis specially the theory of analytic functions of several variables. The book contains eight chapters. Chapter 1 presents introductory aspects of the topic and some preliminary definitions. In the proceeding chapters (2-8), the authors derive some results about the generalized Gol'dberg order (α,β) and generalized Gol'dberg type (α,β) of entire functions of several complex variables which progressively explores different variations of these variables, (upper and lower, functions, inequalities, growth measures). The book culminates in an explanation of the sum and product theorems depending on the generalized relative Gol'dberg order (α,β). This monograph is intended for mathematical researchers and enthusiasts who wish to expand their understanding about complex variables of several functions and complex and related aspects of complex analysis.

During the past two decades the gravitational asymptotic safety scenario has undergone a major transition from an exotic possibility to a serious contender for a realistic theory of quantum gravity. It aims at a mathematically consistent quantum description of the gravitational interaction and the geometry of spacetime within the realm of quantum field theory, which keeps its predictive power at the highest energies. This volume provides a self-contained pedagogical introduction to asymptotic safety, and introduces the functional renormalization group techniques used in its investigation, along with the requisite computational techniques.
